The 24 Best Infinite Mana Combos in Magic Ranked

Infinite mana is one of the oldest Commander temptations in the book. You start by telling yourself you just want a little extra ramp, then two turns later you are explaining why your creature is technically also a land and why that means everybody is dead.

This list ranks the infinite mana combos that matter most in real deckbuilding, with a Commander bias but an eye on broader utility too. The best combos are not just fast. They are compact, resilient, easy to slot into shells that already want the pieces, or strong enough that the table has to respect them on sight.

This countdown starts at #24 and saves the cleanest combo for the end. Ratings are practical Commander grades, not cEDH-only verdicts. Structure and combo selection were researched against Draftsim’s ranking article: Draftsim.

Quick Reads

  2. Fastest compact setup: Rona, Herald of Invasion + Mox Amber + Retraction Helix.

  4. Best this-looked-fair finisher: Devoted Druid + Swift Reconfiguration.
#24

24. Nim Deathmantle + Composite Golem

Why it matters: Artifact recursion mana loop

Once Deathmantle is online, Composite Golem turns into a very weird ATM. Sac it for five mana, spend four to bring it back, keep one, and repeat until the table starts doing the mental math and regretting every window where they chose not to kill the equipment.

#23

23. Felidar Guardian + Spark Double + Panharmonicon

Why it matters: Blink engine with land untaps

This one is peak blink-player behavior: a lot of ETB text, a suspicious amount of stack management, and then suddenly the land untaps are infinite. It is clunky compared to the top end of the list, but it absolutely snowballs if the board is already cooperating.

#22

22. Ygra, Eater of All + Experimental Confectioner + Phyrexian Altar

Why it matters: Food-to-Rat sacrifice engine

Ygra turns the whole board into snack technology, and Confectioner plus Altar cashes that in for infinite mana. It is exactly the kind of Golgari combo that reads like a fever dream and wins like a spreadsheet.

#21

21. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Plague Belcher + Phyrexian Altar

Why it matters: Undying colored mana loop

Mikaeus has been committing combo crimes for years, and Plague Belcher slots into that tradition nicely. The counter interaction lets Belcher keep coming back, Altar keeps paying you, and everyone else gets the fun task of pretending this looked fair at any point.

#20

20. Magda, Brazen Outlaw + Clock of Omens + Universal Automaton

Why it matters: Treasure engine into infinite mana

Because changeling is secretly a genre of nonsense, Universal Automaton counts as the exact creature type Magda wants. From there Clock of Omens turns tapping artifacts into a conveyor belt of Treasures, and Magda eventually upgrades enough mana into having the whole deck.

#19

19. Estrid, the Masked + The Chain Veil

Why it matters: Planeswalker loop

Chain Veil combos always look like an accounting exercise until they suddenly become lethal. Estrid makes this cleaner than most by untapping your enchanted mana base, which means your pillow-fort deck can abruptly transform into a combo deck wearing a tasteful cardigan.

#18

18. Brass's Bounty + Reiterate

Why it matters: Spell-copy Treasure explosion

If you have enough lands and enough mana to start this loop, red can do the very red thing of turning a respectable value spell into an absurd mana machine. Buyback keeps Reiterate coming home like it forgot its lunchbox, and Treasure does the rest.

#17

17. Ashaya, Soul of the Wild + Ley Weaver

Why it matters: Creature-land untap loop

Ashaya making your creatures into lands unlocks some truly illegal-looking board states. Ley Weaver untapping itself and a land means the combo is low on cardboard but high on ?please read that static ability again.?

#16

16. Dance of the Dead + Worldgorger Dragon

Why it matters: Classic reanimator float-mana loop

Worldgorger remains one of the most infamous old-school combo lines for a reason: it wins fast, it looks terrifying, and it can also draw the game if you get cute without an exit. This is reanimator jazz. The notes are correct, but one wrong beat and everybody goes home confused.

#15

15. Karmic Guide + Ashnod's Altar + Reveillark

Why it matters: Colorless mana plus infinite ETBs

Reveillark loops continue to be one of Commander?s most reliable ways to turn value creatures into a full combo finish. The mana here is nice, but the real charm is that you also get infinite enters and dies triggers, which is basically catnip for white graveyard decks.

#14

14. Rings of Brighthearth + Basalt Monolith

Why it matters: Artifact untap mana engine

This combo is clean, compact, and brutally effective. Rings copies the untap activation, Basalt keeps tapping in between resolutions, and suddenly your artifact deck has moved from ramping to ?please stop asking how much floating mana I have.?

#13

13. Sanctum Weaver + Pemmin's Aura

Why it matters: Enchantment dork loop

If Sanctum Weaver taps for two or more, the aura pays for itself immediately and the loop is on. This is one of those combos that enchantress players accidentally discover after swearing they are just a fair value deck.

#12

12. Selvala, Heart of the Wilds + Staff of Domination

Why it matters: Big-mana creature converter

Selvala plus Staff is almost a rite of passage for green combo players. Once Selvala taps for enough mana, Staff turns that into infinite untaps, infinite draw, and eventually the sort of turn where every permanent on your side starts feeling personally overqualified.

#11

11. Kodama of the East Tree + Tireless Provisioner + Simic Growth Chamber

Why it matters: Landfall bounce loop

Kodama plus a bounce land is already suspicious. Add Tireless Provisioner and the suspicion becomes infinite Treasures. It is efficient, compact, and has the deeply Simic quality of making a land drop feel like a felony.

Power★★★★

#10

10. Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake

Why it matters: Soulbond blink mana engine

This combo has been terrifying tables for so long that it practically has elder status. Blink Drake, untap five lands, repeat, and then politely pretend the rest of your turn is still interactive.

#9

9. Rona, Herald of Invasion + Mox Amber + Retraction Helix

Why it matters: Cheap fast combo loop

Rona combo is fast, compact, and exactly the kind of thing that makes blue-black-red players smirk before anybody has even finished their second land drop. Bounce the Amber, replay it, untap Rona, repeat, and enjoy becoming the archenemy on a budget.

#8

8. Storm-Kiln Artist + Haze of Rage

Why it matters: Storm-Treasure feedback loop

This is less make mana and more turn one spell into a weather event. Storm-Kiln Artist refunds your spellcasting through Treasures, Haze keeps coming back, and somewhere in the middle your board becomes large enough to violate common table etiquette.

Power★★★★
Setup★★☆☆☆

#7

7. Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring + Mishra's Bauble

Why it matters: Bounce-loop artifact engine

Hullbreaker Horror does not need much encouragement to become unbearable. Once a zero-mana artifact and a positive rock get involved, every cast becomes a boomerang and your mana total starts climbing like it got into espresso.

Commander★★★★
Power★★★★★
Setup★★★☆☆

Combo pieces: Hullbreaker Horror + Sol Ring + Mishra's Bauble Card image and data via Scryfall.

#6

6. Chatterfang, Squirrel General + Pitiless Plunderer

Why it matters: Treasure-squirrel sacrifice loop

This combo is very strong and also extremely on-brand for Commander in 2026: half aristocrats engine, half woodland infestation. Chatterfang turns deaths into more squirrels, Plunderer turns deaths into mana, and the board turns into an OSHA incident.

#5

5. Pili-Pala + Grand Architect

Why it matters: Compact artifact blue loop

Old, elegant, and still dangerous. Architect turns Pili-Pala into a better battery than it has any right to be, and from there infinite blue mana is just repetition plus the confidence to say yes, these two weird cards really do win.

#4

4. Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy + Basalt Monolith

Why it matters: Top-tier Simic mana combo

Kinnan and Basalt Monolith is one of the cleanest infinite mana setups in Commander. Both cards are independently excellent, the combo asks for almost nothing extra, and it fits perfectly into decks that were already trying to produce disrespectful amounts of mana anyway.

#3

3. Basking Broodscale + Blade of the Bloodchief

Why it matters: Modern and Commander token loop

Broodscale plus Blade became famous because it is compact, scalable, and easy to support. Sac a Scion, grow the lizard, make another Scion, repeat. It is the sort of combo that starts as value and ends with your opponent rereading an uncommon in visible annoyance.

#2

2. Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter

Why it matters: The classic nonland-permanent engine

Dramatic Scepter is still one of the most universal infinite mana combos ever printed. The setup is straightforward, the shell support is enormous, and every experienced table knows the exact sinking feeling when the Scepter player asks, very casually, if the spell resolves.

#1

1. Devoted Druid + Swift Reconfiguration

Why it matters: Fastest clean green loop

Devoted Druid keeps finding new ways to ignore the laws of creature design, and Swift Reconfiguration is one of the funniest. Turning the Druid into a Vehicle sidesteps the counter problem entirely, giving you one of the cheapest, fastest, and cleanest infinite green mana combos in the format.

Best Ways to Spend Infinite Mana

  • Walking Ballista: Ballista is still the most practical sink because it wins immediately, picks off hatebears when you are not comboing, and slots into artifact shells without drama.
  • Urza, Lord High Artificer: Urza lets infinite mana become cast my whole deck, which is exactly the sort of sentence combo players enjoy saying with a completely straight face.
  • Torment of Hailfire: If your mana is effectively infinite, Torment usually ends the conversation on the spot and does not care much about the exact color mix beyond black access.
  • Retrofitter Foundry: Foundry does not kill instantly, but infinite bodies at instant speed is often good enough, especially in artifact lists that can tutor it naturally.

Final Take

The best infinite mana combos are the ones that do not force your deck to become a pile of embarrassing air. That is why the top of this list favors compact engines, independently playable pieces, and shells that were already strong before they decided to become morally flexible. If you are going to go infinite, at least do it with some style.
