The 16 Best Green Cards in Marvel Super Heroes Ranked

Marvel Super Heroes has a surprisingly deep green lineup. The reprints are excellent, the new legends actually do something worth sleeving up, and the set leans hard into the kind of ramp, counters, graveyard value, and combat pressure that green players already treat like a love language.

This list blends the best green reprints and the most promising new cards from the main set and Commander product. The goal is not to crown the funniest crossover callback, even though Squirrel Girl is trying very hard to win that subcategory too. The goal is to identify the green cards most likely to matter when decks are being built for real.

This countdown starts at #16 and saves the strongest pick for the end. Ratings are practical deckbuilding scores rather than finance grades. Legal format badges use current Scryfall data. Structure and scope were researched against Draftsim’s article on the same release: Draftsim.

Quick Hits

  1. Top reprints: Steely Resolve, Force of Vigor, Heroic Intervention.

#16
Steely Resolve Magic card image

16. Steely Resolve

Enchantment

Role: Tribal shield piece

A proper reprint matters because tribal decks still love the old ?good luck targeting my team? line. If your table is packed with removal and your own list does not need to point pump spells at its creatures, this is one of those quietly nasty enchantments that turns spot removal into sad little cardboard.

#15
Force of Vigor Magic card image

15. Force of Vigor

Instant

Role: Free interaction

Any green set that hands players another easy copy of Force of Vigor is going to matter. Pitching a card to blow up two artifacts or enchantments still feels borderline rude, and in Commander it often reads like ?counter their setup phase without technically countering anything.?

#14
Heroic Intervention Magic card image

14. Heroic Intervention

Instant

Role: Table-flipping protection spell

Two mana to blank sweepers and most targeted removal is still elite. Heroic Intervention remains one of green?s cleanest ways to say ?actually, my board would prefer to keep existing,? and that sentence never stops being useful.

#13
Tigra, Feline Fury Magic card image

13. Tigra, Feline Fury

Legendary Creature — Cat Human Hero

Role: Counters pressure piece

Tigra looks like a cleaner Ajani?s Pridemate riff for players who want counters and combat keywords on the same card. Trample is doing real work here, because a giant creature without evasion is just a spreadsheet with paws.

#12
Claim the Kingdom Magic card image

12. Claim the Kingdom

Enchantment — Plan

Role: Landfall counters engine

This is the kind of green enchantment that quietly snowballs while everyone is still pretending the scary card is somewhere else. Landfall plus counters is already good business, and building toward a premium counter payoff gives it real commander upside.

It's Clobberin' Time! Magic card image

11. It's Clobberin' Time!

Sorcery

Role: Two-step removal spell

The name is somewhere between iconic and a little bit cosplay-at-FNM, but the card is solid. Rebound means you get a second swing of interaction, and green decks that can keep a real creature on board will happily turn this into a steady two-for-one.

#10
Earth's Mightiest Heroes Magic card image

10. Earth's Mightiest Heroes

Sorcery

Role: Big-creature cheat spell

Green players have never seen a giant mana jump and thought, ?No thanks, I respect balance.? This effect is expensive on paper, but teamwork makes the ceiling absurdly real, and casual tables are going to learn that five power is not hard to assemble in green.

#9
Nakia, Wakandan Operative Magic card image

9. Nakia, Wakandan Operative

Legendary Creature — Human Warrior Hero

Role: Monarch commander support

Repeated monarch access on a commander-focused card is a big deal. Nakia looks especially annoying in blink shells, because stealing back monarch at instant speed is the kind of play pattern that makes one opponent reach for a board wipe and another reach for a stress ball.

#8
Bushmaster, Coiled Henchman Magic card image

8. Bushmaster, Coiled Henchman

Legendary Creature — Snake Human Villain

Role: Counters finisher

Bushmaster turns +1/+1 counter boards into combat math nightmares. Trample plus deathtouch is one of Magic?s classic ?your blocks looked better before rules text happened? combinations, and green already has plenty of ways to make the stats enormous.

#7
Return of the Mole Man Magic card image

7. Return of the Mole Man

Enchantment

Role: Landfall self-mill payoff

Self-mill and landfall were already two mechanics green happily jams into the same lunchbox. Return of the Mole Man feeds the graveyard early and pays you back late with board presence, which gives slower value decks a real rebuild tool.

#6
Call Damage Control Magic card image

6. Call Damage Control

Sorcery

Role: Graveyard value draw spell

This one reads narrower than it plays. In the right shell it is efficient recursion plus actual card flow, and delirium-style decks are going to treat it like the responsible adult version of drawing two and rummaging through the yard for dessert.

#5
Fight for the Throne Magic card image

5. Fight for the Throne

Instant

Role: Removal plus monarch swing

A cheap fight spell that also makes you the monarch is exactly the kind of green card that overperforms because it stacks useful text without getting fancy. You remove a problem, pull ahead on cards, and suddenly the table has to care about your squirrels, elves, or random oversized idiot.

#4
Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu Magic card image

4. Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu

Legendary Creature — Human Warrior Hero

Role: Mana dork accelerator

Giving your mana creatures pseudo-haste is dangerous territory, and green absolutely knows what it is doing here. Shang-Chi lets explosive starts get sillier and turns activated-ability creatures into real combo-adjacent threats. Tiny body, huge ?this is going to get out of hand? energy.

#3
World War Hulk Magic card image

3. World War Hulk

Enchantment — Saga

Role: Commander mana cheat

Most players are not reading this saga for the narrative arc; they are reading it for the part where expensive commanders arrive early and pretend command tax is somebody else?s problem. That alone gives World War Hulk a scary ceiling in battlecruiser and ramp shells.

#2
Mole Man, Moloid Master Magic card image

2. Mole Man, Moloid Master

Legendary Creature — Human Villain

Role: Lands-from-yard engine

Playing lands from the graveyard while self-milling and paying yourself off for land drops is the kind of text box green mages frame on the wall. Mole Man looks like a serious engine card, and every new version of this effect makes old-school Crucible players age one visible year.

#1
The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Magic card image

1. The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl

Legendary Creature — Squirrel Human Hero

Role: Go-wide legend with real ceiling

Squirrel Girl gets the top slot because she offers the best blend of raw Commander appeal, scalable board presence, and crossover charm without being just a reprint upgrade. She is powerful, hilarious, and exactly the kind of card that wins a game while making the table say, ?I cannot believe I died to this many squirrels.?

Final Take

Green came out of Marvel Super Heroes with real depth. The safest pickups are the premium reprints and the lands-from-graveyard engines, but the bigger story is that several new cards already look like long-term Commander role-players. Also, yes, it is extremely on-brand that one of the set?s cleanest finishers is Squirrel Girl. Magic remains undefeated at making absurd sentences strategically correct.
